  • Fixed disappearing footer and attribution links: ordinary text links and their meaningful wrappers now survive built-in, downloaded, server-supplied, procedural and heuristic hiding after repeated clicks.
  • Explicit sponsored links, ad-labelled containers, ad-network frames, image creatives and manually selected blocks continue to hide normally.
  • Cosmetic session caches are invalidated on upgrade so an older broad selector cannot keep affecting a repaired installation.

  • Legitimate external and new-tab text links are no longer treated as ad evidence on their own, with an extra safeguard for ordinary linked text containers.

  • Focus mode: hide the endless feed on Facebook and YouTube whenever you want, and keep everything you opened on purpose.
  • Facebook: home and group feeds, the Reels row and viewer, the Stories tray and the right-hand column can each be collapsed. Messenger, chat, notifications, search, profiles, Marketplace and any post you open are never touched.
  • YouTube: the home grid and filter chips, Shorts, the "Up next" rail, the end-screen/pause suggestion walls and (optionally) comments. Search, subscriptions, playlists, history, channel pages, the player and its controls are never touched.
  • Four ways to control it: the popup switch, a draggable floating pill on the page with a five-minute "peek", timed sessions (25 min, 60 min or until a chosen time) and an automatic weekday schedule.
  • Purely visual and instantly reversible: hiding is one stylesheet rule keyed off a single attribute, nothing is removed from the page and no request is blocked or altered, so no site feature, login or upload can break because of it.
  • A manual flip always outranks the schedule for the next hour, per-host exceptions are supported, and weekly focus time is counted locally. Activity is counts only - no titles, post text, authors or links are ever recorded.

  • nytimes.com hardening: ad serving and measurement (Google GPT, Amazon TAM, media.net, GeoEdge, Chartbeat, Brandmetrics, Datadog RUM, GTM and the NYT als/et/eg beacons) are blocked on every NYT surface.
  • Site compatibility: the NYT feature-flag config (a1.nyt.com/abra-config) and consent-preference service are explicitly allowed, so News, Cooking and Games render and behave normally with the shield on.
  • Verified in real Chrome on the home page, a section page, Cooking and Wordle: article text, navigation, video and layout intact, no "turn off your ad blocker" notice, and no first-party content request blocked.

  • Observe mode records verdicts without blocking; Enforce mode blocks third-party sub-resources only - never pages, frames or downloads.
  • Identity, payment and browser-infrastructure hosts are never looked up, plus a user-editable never-block list.

  • Sign-in fixed: Google, Microsoft, Apple, Okta, Auth0 and generic accounts./sso./login. identity hosts are now recognised as trusted destinations. OAuth hops are no longer cancelled as 'unrequested navigation', and an auth or payment popup opened from your click gets a real window again so the site can complete the login.
  • Redirect guard: the gesture window widened from 1.2s to 4s, which covers the network round trip between clicking 'Sign in' and the script that actually navigates. Redirects with no click at all are still blocked exactly as before, and broker/gambling hosts are still checked first - trust can never override a blocklist.
  • Gmail fixed: the unqualified .ad / .ads cosmetic rules were hiding real mail (Gmail marks message bodies with div.adn.ads). They now only match elements whose class is exactly that, plus the ins/aside forms the ad testers use.
  • Web apps protected: on first-party apps (Gmail, Outlook, Drive, Docs, Teams, Slack, Discord, Notion, GitHub, Figma, Salesforce and more) the pattern-guessing bundles and the element scorer stand down, and empty-container collapsing is off. Host-specific list rules and anything you blocked by hand still apply.
  • Content safety net: primary content and input surfaces ([role=main], editors, text boxes, forms) can never be hidden or collapsed by any automatic rule, whatever matched them.

  • Performance: cosmetic style writes are now batched into a single animation frame instead of being interleaved with layout measurements, so hiding an ad-heavy page costs one layout pass instead of dozens.
  • Performance: the built-in generic, search-ad, annoyance and placeholder selector bundles are built on first real use and reused, so an allowlisted or paused site no longer pays to prepare them.
  • Performance: element scoring compiles its patterns once per page instead of on every scan, and the request log now uses a fixed-capacity ring buffer that can never grow into storage-quota pressure.
  • Filter syntax: cosmetic exception rules (example.com#@#.selector) from filter lists and your own rules are now honoured, so a list can un-hide something it over-matched. Elements you blocked by hand always win.
  • Element picker: full keyboard control - up/down for parent and child, left/right between siblings, Enter to block, Escape to cancel.
  • Housekeeping: a six-hourly idle pass removes orphan blocking rules left behind by an interrupted update, freeing budget without touching any active rule.
  • Compatibility: many more ad and consent SDK stand-ins (Prebid, Amazon apstag, Criteo, Taboola, Outbrain, MGID, IAB TCF and US Privacy), so sites keep working when their ad scripts are blocked.

  • Stability: graceful degradation watchdog. If the background worker hits a burst of failures, AdShield automatically drops to Lite mode instead of crashing, and quietly restores your exact settings once the failures settle. A repeat trip within an hour stays gentle until you restore it manually from Diagnostics.
  • Stability: storage quota guard. A full storage partition no longer interrupts the extension - the disposable request log is evicted and the write retried; a persistent failure is contained and reported instead of crashing.
  • Opt-in error telemetry: when usage statistics are enabled, AdShield now reports aggregate error counts (codes only - never messages, URLs, hosts or stacks) plus the degradation flag, so a bad release is visible in the admin console before the reviews arrive. New installs default the endpoint to the official admin console; your stored endpoint is untouched.

What is the official website?

doblock.online is the official home of AdShield Pro. It replaces the old ooo.pro.bd address — download only from doblock.online.

What makes AdShield Pro different from store ad blockers?

It runs entirely on your machine. No account, no telemetry, no remote code.

Is it really free?

Yes — MIT licensed. Read every rule, change anything, pay nothing.

Will it slow down my browsing?

The opposite. The browser enforces the rules, and sweeps run in idle time.

Does it protect me from phishing and malicious redirects?

Known malicious hosts and forced redirects are blocked before they open. It is a strong shield, not a promise you can never be tricked.

Can I add my own lists, hosts file or DNS blocklist?

Yes. Paste a URL or raw text in the dashboard and it compiles instantly.

Something is broken on a site — what do I do?

Tap “This site looks broken” in the popup. Only that host is exempted.
